Our goal is to bring our farm into the city center by 2022. Through urban farming and related activities, The Farmers hopes to promote our cultural heritage, sustainability, and the empowerment of women.
We want to connect more people to the idea of localization and be at the forefront of the local food movement by demonstrating urban farming on a day-to-day basis. By bridging the disconnect between where our food is grown and where it is consumed, we hope to create more awareness and interest in our food system, as well as champion the farm-to-table concept by providing high-quality, locally-grown produce for restaurants in the city.
As we are still in the early stages of planning, we need all the help we can get to make this happen. If you have a skill, we need you! If you see something you want to improve, come and do it! Help us by sharing your insights and expertise or by volunteering your time. You can also show your love by simply spreading the word about our mission to your fellow food-growing friends.
